South Florida Health Advocacy Summit Fundraiser

Attention Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and surrounding areas: local patient advocate, Ilana Jacqueline, is looking for help with an upcoming fundraiser for a youth summit as part of The Health Advocacy Summit Organization.

ABOUT

The Health Advocacy Summit is a 501c-3 non-profit organization which host free daylong events to teach skills, offer support and community to young adults (ages 13-30) dealing with chronic illnesses.  These events help enable and empower attendees to become strong advocates for themselves and their communities.

Each summit typically consists of four discussion-based sessions led by a mix of speakers. Past summits have included presentations by established advocates, doctors, psychologists, healthcare lobbyists and social workers. Additionally, our summits are a chance for young people to connect with others their age who are going through a similar struggle and to build a network for support for the rest of their lives.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

HAS Board Member and Professional Patient Advocate, Ilana Jacqueline will be hosting the South Florida based summit in Boca Raton in February 2020. Prior to the summit, we will be having a fundraising event to help with the costs of this and future summits for the organization.

We are in need of donations for the following:

• A local business or home to host the fundraising event
• Catering donations
• Silent Auction Items

We are also looking to speak with local media to help highlight the fundraising event and promote registrations for the summit.
