“This emphatic guide . . . provides advice on how women can overcome the dismissiveness of unsympathetic doctors to receive necessary care. Jacqueline’s personal anecdotes offer infuriating glimpses into the medical profession’s hubris, as well as solid advice to help patients voice their needs. [Medical Gaslighting] will be a salve for women tired of unjustly skeptical doctors.” – Publisher’s Weekly
“Ilana Jacqueline has written one of the most important books of our time. Medical gaslighting continues to be deeply harmful and can shock people to their core. This book ensures that no one has to be caught off guard at a doctor’s appointment ever again and I do believe it will become a staple for anyone navigating their health, which is most human beings on this earth.” – Nitika Chopra, Founder and CEO of Chronicon
“For too long women’s medical symptoms have been dismissed at the doctor’s office, our pain written off as a figment of our imagination. Jacqueline’s book gives us a much-needed guide on how to come to peace with your disease and make sure your pain is believed. This book has the power and information to save your life.” –Anushay Hossain, Author, The Pain Gap: How Sexism and Racism in Healthcare Kill Women.
Medical Gaslighting is an essential source– not just for young women in general, but for the next generation of health care providers who want to develop their understanding of women’s health, overcome implicit bias, and educate themselves on a new way of interacting with patients, different and more collaborative than has ever been taught before.
